• Cost calculator: runs entirely in your browser and stores nothing.
• Social media icons in our footer: plain links. They load nothing from those networks until you click them.

03How we categorize cookies

• Strictly necessary: needed for the website or service to work, such as keeping you signed in to your DV account. These do not need consent.
• Functional: remember choices or improve features. We use none on this website today.
• Analytics: help us understand how the website is used. We use none today.
• Advertising: track you across websites to show ads. We do not use these.

If we add analytics or any other non-essential cookie in future, we will:

• ask for your consent first, where the law requires it
• update this policy
• let you change your choice at any time.

04The DV script on our customers' websites

To follow a visitor's journey across visits, the DV script uses first-party storage on the customer's own website domain. That storage:

• is not shared across different websites
• is not used for advertising
• does not use device fingerprinting.

The raw journey data linked to it is kept for a limited period under our retention policy, shorter than verdict records. DV honors Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals, and never scores a visitor worse for using them.

Each customer is responsible for its own cookie notice, and for asking its visitors for consent where the law requires it. If you have questions about DV on a website you visited, please contact that website's owner.

05Managing cookies and storage

• Browser settings: you can view, block and delete cookies and site data, usually under Privacy or Site Data. Most browsers let you clear data for a single website.
• Global Privacy Control: you can send a Global Privacy Control signal from browsers and extensions that support it. We treat it as a request to opt out where the law gives you that right.
